Hotel Praia

We’ve stayed here three times and have been really happy with it. The location is hard to beat, just steps from the beach, with a local market across the street and shops and restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and roomy, and the bed was big and comfortable. Booking through the official website got us free breakfast for our stays. Highly recommend 👌.

We stayed here for one night during our honeymoon in April, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. Late at night, when we pulled back the sheets to go to bed, we found blood stains underneath the comforter. We’d already rested on the bed and put our belongings on it without knowing. It made us feel gross, and after changing rooms in the middle of the night, we still didn’t get a good night’s sleep. It made that night of our honeymoon miserable. There was only a night desk clerk available. He came to see the stains himself, but only then agreed to move us. In the morning I told the front desk how disappointed we were and asked whether they could do something, since it was a special occasion. I didn’t ask for a full refund, just some partial compensation for the stained sheets and the late-night room change. At checkout I was told they’d speak to the manager and find a solution. My travel agent followed up with the hotel for me, but they didn’t seem willing to work with her on compensation. Eventually the staff stopped replying to her, and nothing was ever done. That was disappointing.

We spent one night at this clean, centrally located hotel in Nazare. The room was spacious, and I’d stay here again.

We chose a large suite with an extra bed for our teenage son, and the hotel breakfast was excellent. On arrival we had some concerns about the room’s cleanliness, but they dealt with them quickly. The beach and all the activity are very close. At night we shut the windows and used the air conditioning to keep the noise out. It was an excellent stay overall.
