Everything was arranged perfectly. The apartment is lovely and spacious, with a large terrace and beautiful sunset views. The area is quiet.

This villa is in the island’s northeast, with ocean views. It’s near the highway and a roundabout but surprisingly quiet, and the dead-end street has parking right in front. Inside, it’s spacious, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living rooms. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, better than mine at home. There’s a fireplace in the smaller living room that distributes heat through the house and works really well. Wi-Fi is OK, there’s a TV in each living room, and the washer and dryer are useful extras. I’d recommend it to larger groups who need room, are happy to make their own breakfast, and don’t mind being farther from the island’s west side and the grocery store. Nordeste itself is beautiful. A few details could be better: there were only two wine glasses, which was enough for us but not a larger group. Nicer garden furniture, shade, or maybe a jacuzzi would improve the terrace, and the interior could use more attention to detail, such as extra living room furniture and working bedside lamps. These are minor points, though the villa is excellent overall. Unfortunately, like most houses on Sao Miguel, the walls are damp. You can smell it even from the living room sofa, though you can get used to it.
