Centenária

The little annex felt like home, and having a washing machine and a double shower made the stay easier. There was plenty of outdoor space, BBQ areas, and even air conditioning in every room. The place was clean and tidy, with friendly staff. My children loved the animals and playground, and we'd happily come back. It seems great for camping too.

We found blood-filled bed bugs in the bed during the night, with blood marks on the sheets the next morning. My wife had several bites and then a severe allergic reaction, with burning skin, an intensely itchy rash, and nights without sleep in the days that followed. Centenária refunded the accommodation, but wouldn't cover the medical costs caused by the incident. That lack of responsibility, along with the hygiene problems, makes this somewhere I can't recommend.

A fantastic spot for families and an inexpensive place to stay if you need to be nearby. The floors really need repairing, though.

The staff were kind and even brought us a bucket and mop as water spread through the room. Heavy rain and a storm were happening, but that didn't make the problems any less frustrating. We were moved three times and still ended up in a room different from the one we booked, with leaks in the living room and damp in both a bedroom and the bathroom. There was nowhere else available in the area, so we couldn't move elsewhere.
