We wound up in the ER because of insect bites. There was no insecticide in the room. We asked for some, but nothing happened. Communication was difficult since they don't speak Portuguese or Spanish. I don't recommend it.

Casa Boavista was a wonderful place to stay. The owners were warm, very kind and attentive, checking in with us each day to make sure everything was all right. Our room was clean and air-conditioned, and the location was good. A big thank you to them. We highly recommend it.
