The hikes around Gerês were amazing, and the trails start just around the corner from Gerês Guest House, which made the location ideal. After a day out, the peaceful room was a lovely place to unwind. It was comfortable and clean, with a great bed and beautiful mountain views. We could hear the river and birds as we fell asleep and woke up. The house is cozy and well maintained, and the hosts were warm, helpful, and ready with tips on trails, restaurants, and places to see. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended if you're after nature, peace, and friendly hospitality.

We stayed for several nights, and the owners treated us fantastically. They were kind and helped us plan some great walks around the National Park. The facilities were very good for the price.

For one night we paid 38€, and the room was very basic, though the price felt fair. There were a few maintenance problems, including a bathroom door that wouldn't close. The location was good, the host friendly, and breakfast at the hotel next door was good too, for 5€.

The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. They were also honest and helpful: I accidentally booked the wrong date for an extra night, and reception moved it at no cost, even though the online booking was non-refundable and couldn't be changed. I'd recommend staying here.

The mountain view was breathtaking, and the room itself was good. A few bathroom details were off: the shower door nearly fell on me, and my husband had to put it back in place. The silicone looked bad, black and yellow from bleach, and there were lots of dead mosquitoes in the bathroom. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I still recommend the place.
