The views, especially at sunset, were fantastic, and we had warm, lovely weather. My family and I really enjoyed our 14-day holiday here. The house was clean, as was the pool, and Sr. Francisco, the guest hostess, was friendly and there whenever we needed help. That Atlantic view is hard to beat. A great place to stay on Madeira Island, which really does feel like paradise.

The quiet village and its friendly people made the stay feel lovely. The house was fantastic, with a gorgeous view and a beautiful sunset. The pool and accommodation were great too, and the hostess was so helpful. The Blue Pearl is fantastic!

The welcome was kind, but after that the stay went downhill. The dishes were dirty (see pictures), the pool was cold, and the dishwasher didn't work. After we left, he said we didn't need to wash the dishes, though that wasn't possible anyway because the dishwasher was broken. He called us pigs and troublemakers on Airbnb. Avoid this place. There are much cleaner, nicer places with kinder hosts.

Paul do Mar is farther from Funchal, but it still feels untouched by tourists. It's a lovely spot for walks by the sea and good food, with a couple of great local restaurants nearby. There are also lots of Levada walks a short drive away. The villa itself was clean and well kept, and the owner welcomed us warmly and shared useful tips about the area. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Jessica and Francisco were wonderful hosts, and the beaches are really close to the house. A great way to experience Madeira's rural side. Much love from the UK!
