What a lovely lady. She even arranged a taxi for me to Coimbra. I only wish there were coffee and tea facilities in the rooms.

I stayed here while renovations were still underway. It should look really pretty and rustic once all the work is finished, though some things are still missing, such as air conditioning in the rooms.

The building is a little old, but it worked perfectly for a short stay. The room had its own bathroom, the valley views were good, and there’s a cafe opposite for breakfast.

We stayed here while riding the N2 by motorcycle, and the service and cleanliness were both perfect. Our room was on the top floor, right beside the terrace with the sign. It has the feel of an old Portuguese guesthouse, with well integrated bathrooms and modern windows as welcome improvements. There’s no luxury or modern style, which is part of the appeal to me. I’ll return someday.
