The place is peaceful, spotless, and clearly well cared for, with lovely options from caravans and tents to the A-cabin. Julien was friendly and attentive, and Banana the dog kept us company on the porch and on little walks nearby. A great choice for a quiet holiday or a longer stay. It felt almost like paradise.

The rural setting was lovely, and I enjoyed the dirt track through the countryside on the way in. We got a warm welcome and were shown a few pitches. They were level and had the services we needed. The toilets and showers were very clean, with plenty of hot water, and although the pool looked tempting, it was a bit cold when we visited. Getting to the toilets meant using a muddy stepped path, which was difficult, almost impossible at night, especially since our pitch was at the top and there were no lights. Around the site, wind damaged tents had left quite a bit of debris in the undergrowth. The storms must have caused a lot of trouble, though it could have been tidied up a little. There was no stock at the bar when we came in May, which felt odd, but they did offer me coffee. It’s a very rural site built around the teepee experience and remoteness, but those things seem to have their limits out of season.

Tucked into a canyon, this lovely little campsite has the feel of a family run boutique B&B, rather than one of the big chains trying to be a resort. The views are really nice, and the owner is friendly. Definitely worth visiting. If you have limited mobility, it’s probably best to call first and check how much scrambling up and down your pitch involves. And a low sports car may struggle with the gravel road.

We had a spacious, clean tent that felt private, and the owners were so friendly. The pool and bar were fun, too. It’s such a beautiful, relaxing spot. We only stayed one night, unfortunately, and are already looking forward to coming back for longer.

Our tipi in the valley was so lovely, and the whole camping stay was the best we’ve ever had. Julien was a wonderful host. There’s an infinity pool, a bar, and an outdoor kitchen, and Banana the dog was adorable. We had a great time and can’t wait to return. Thank you so much!
