The volunteers do such a great job with breakfast, it was delicious! There are also good places to work and fast WiFi, so it suits nomads. The owners really pay attention to the details and make you feel looked after. The whole hostel has a relaxed surfer feel, with lovely people to meet, space to chill, and parties if you're up for them. I'll be back soon!

The rooftop was the highlight for me, the sunsets from up there are beautiful. The hostel is about a 10 minute walk from the beach, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms are nicely decorated and have what you need, as long as noise isn't a concern. Our private room downstairs was pleasant, but it was beside the living room, where people gathered and made noise until 23:00. The windows also faced a street with lots of cars. I wish we'd been told how noisy it could be. Staff were helpful and friendly, but they spent time in the living room beside our room and could have been more considerate of the guests there. Having worked in hospitality, I expected a bit more care and higher standards.

Captain's Log House is in a handy spot near the beach, restaurants, and surf schools. It felt like home, thanks to the lovely hosts who clearly wanted us to be comfortable. We'd definitely recommend it :-)

We stayed on the top floor in a separate room with a lovely ocean view. The rooms were clean, and everything went smoothly. There's a cabin where you can keep surfboards, and it's locked at night. The surf atmosphere is real, and everyone was so nice that I couldn't even tell who was staff.

The beach is just a 5-10 minute walk away, and the location feels nicely removed from the crowds. Breakfast is served each morning, with fresh fruit available too. Our room, shower, and toilet were clean, and there was always hot water. The people were all so lovely, and we met a lot of incredible folks. Thanks for everything, it was amazing 🫶🏼🌊
