The living and dining area is roomy, with a comfortable sofa, a big table, and a well-equipped kitchen. Both spacious bedrooms look out over the river and hills, and each has its own pleasant bathroom, plus there’s a separate guest toilet. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the terrace has a wood-fired barbecue. The pool is small but does the job for cooling off in the heat. My only service quibble is that the wine display could work better as a mini-bar than as something you order from on call. A very high-standard apartment and good value.

We found it easy to get around on foot, and there was plenty of free street parking. The pool is just right for relaxing, and the apartment has great facilities, including everything we needed for barbecues. Beautiful place. We’re looking forward to coming back and seeing more of the Douro region.

We’ve been moving around Portugal for 12 days, and this was our favorite stay. The view from the elevated spot is amazing. The host met us with fresh bread and wine, which was such a nice touch. There are two bedrooms and a third toilet, with lovely decor and everything super clean. Outside, there’s a covered area, a pool, and a wood-fired barbecue with plenty of wood stacked beside it. Five stars from me.

Pedro was especially kind and attentive, and we felt warmly welcomed from the start. The house in Peso da Régua was spotless, with excellent attention to hygiene and quality products and equipment throughout. We loved spending family time around the barbecue. Best of all, the view is stunning at any time of day. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back. Highly recommend it!

Parking on the street was hard to find at night. The barbecue area was nice and clean, and the kitchen had plenty of supplies, though there’s no washing machine.
