The waiters looked visibly tired and dissatisfied, which is a shame given the elegant, minimalist space. Lunch was okay, but nothing special for the price.

We placed a food order through Glovo, and the restaurant accepted it. An hour later, when the courier was already there to pick it up, they cancelled it without giving any reason. I tried calling the company but got no answer. Unacceptable. Update: the owner called after seeing two missed calls from me. I explained what happened, and she said she'd look into it. Twenty minutes later she called back with a random excuse: the internet had failed and I had cancelled the order. I have emails from Glovo saying the establishment cancelled it. The situation was handled badly. All she needed to say was “sorry”. Arrogant at best.

That red velvet pancake was really tasty, though I would've liked a bit of maple syrup with it. We come here all the time and haven't had a bad meal yet. There's a server with short dark hair in a bun whose name I never caught. She speaks English well, works hard, and is very attentive. Service can take a while sometimes, I guess that's island time.

The best thing about staying here is not having to climb uphill after a night out. Ponta Delgada isn't flat, and walking back to a hotel farther inland at 2 a.m. would wreck your legs. You're right in the middle of city life, with a fantastic Greek restaurant across the street and the city's best bars nearby. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are so warm and friendly. This is my home base in Ponta Delgada, even if I'm a little worried that praising it too much will make it harder to book next time. 50/10.
