My School I by Atlantic Holiday

The house is spacious and well equipped, with a washer and dryer, parking right outside, and a breathtaking sea view. It's in a quiet, cozy spot, and the locals are friendly. Atlantic Holiday responded right away when we reported the mold, and an employee came by a few hours later to remove it. We stayed because the mold wasn't too bad and was cleaned up quickly, but that won't fix it long term. The damp smell and mold will come back, so we'd book another apartment next time. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, in the stairwell, in the room beside the bedroom, and in small patches in the bedroom near the window. The bathroom only gets ventilation from a tiny tilted window and through adjoining rooms. It looks as though the walls were just repainted in the renovation. There was also a drain-like smell in the bathroom beside the bedroom. The pool took a long time to warm up and was only lukewarm, so we couldn't use it in the cooler weather. A frustrating detail: I asked shortly after booking on October 11, 2025, which was two months ago, whether the mold had been permanently fixed. I was assured everything was fine and that no other guests had complained. That was the only reason I kept the booking, since I had the assurance in writing. At the end of our stay, I saw the latest Google review from four months earlier, which also mentioned mold and said the guest had cancelled. So I felt lied to. Looking back, that's the worst part.

We spent six days and five nights here, our second place to stay on the island, and came away with mixed feelings. The house is huge, with lots of room, and the balcony has a fantastic sea view. I also liked the back area with its jacuzzi and laundry and drying shed. Inside, though, it felt damp and smelled musty, as if there may have been water damage at some point. The beds were the worst part. Both the beds and mattresses were awful, and we woke with back pain every morning. That really shouldn't happen on vacation.

Newly renovated, the house is clean and modern.
