The pool was a lovely way to shake off the travel fatigue, and the grounds are beautiful. I really fell for this place. The rooms are generous and the staff are keen to help you enjoy your stay. Consider one of the bungalows. Breakfast is excellent, and the four-course set dinner is exceptional value. There’s also a very good bar at moderate prices.

The building and garden are so peaceful and beautiful that you almost don’t want to go out. This is the most beautiful, tranquil hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I really recommend it.

We spent lovely evenings by the fire in a sitting room filled with antiques. The house is beautifully furnished, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A perfect place to relax.

The only letdown was the “hot tub.” It was more like a tub at room temperature, and they told us when we arrived that they couldn’t make it warmer. The rest of our stay was one of our favorites ever. The huge, well-kept property has a unique feel, like a grand old mansion with modern amenities. Staff were welcoming and helpful, breakfast was great, and they can provide food throughout the day if needed. Our room looked out onto a special tree. We also got to spend time with a new litter of kittens and their mama who live there, which made the visit even more special.
