The code system was a constant hassle: I had to try the keypad several times every time, even when entering the correct code. The code also changed during my stay without anyone telling me, and I needed it for both the hostel entrance and my room. Why not use keys and working locks? I was unexpectedly moved from the hotel to the hostel next door, with no price adjustment or other compensation. The hostel service was different too, for example, there was no cleaning or towel replacement. It was also quite noisy at night, with people returning and spending time in the kitchen or living room beside my room. With that surprise and the trouble getting through the doors, the experience fell far short of what I expected.

The staff were friendly, which was a plus. The room wasn't very clean, the Wi-Fi was really slow, and the bed felt pretty small. Breakfast was very basic and not that good. It was okay overall.

Sandra at reception deserves a special thank you for helping us with our birthday request. The service was better than I expected from a three-star hotel, and room service was great. We found the room comfortable and the breakfast tasty, with plenty to choose from. A perfect place to stay in Ponta Delgada.

I was planning to leave a positive review because the service had generally been good, and some staff were helpful. Yesterday, one person kindly charged my headphones using the hotel's charging box. Today, another staff member refused to help with the same thing, saying the person yesterday had used their own charger. That wasn't what happened, as the hotel equipment had been used. Her tone was disrespectful and unkind, and I felt very uncomfortable. This changed how I felt about the service. I hope the feedback is taken seriously and guest support improves.

The front desk guy was disrespectful. He said I could pick up a small breakfast and takeaway coffee before my 6am flight, then essentially told me no because they didn't have takeaway cups. He'd also told me there would be a taxi pickup at 6, but that wasn't true. On top of that, a fan outside the window, across a very narrow alley, was super loud. Wouldn't recommend.
