Hotel Sete Cidades

Being near the city center made it easy for us to explore local attractions, and having guaranteed parking was a welcome convenience. The rooms were clean throughout, which is something I always care about. We also appreciated the warm welcome, the staff’s hospitality, and the comfortable surroundings. It was a delightful stay.

This is a two-star hotel, so it has the basics I’d expect at that level. What stood out to me, especially after reading other island hotel reviews mentioning cockroaches, was that this place was clean and had no cockroaches or other bugs. The bed was reasonably comfortable and 190 cm long. The sheets were clean and better quality than I expected, and the towels were quite good too. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was suitable for a two-star place, with the same food each day except for a dessert that changed. There was always plenty, but no eggs. If you like sweet breakfasts, you’ll be happy with it. The location is excellent, with everything in town a few minutes’ walk away and the airport about a 20-minute drive. The parking area is large and free, though you need to ring the intercom to drive in.

I was very happy staying here. The receptionist was helpful, breakfast was fresh, and everything was clean. They even took care of my daughter’s doll 😊

Coming back after a full day exploring Azores to the calm, restful atmosphere of Hotel Sete Cidades gave me energy again. The area around it felt homey, and the food was delicious. I’d choose this hotel again next time I return! I’m so glad I got to stay here during an abroad school program. The staff were genuinely kind and understanding when some people in our group caused small noise issues. They stayed calm, clearly explained what behavior needed to change, and simply asked us to be more considerate of the other guests. No rude words, and surprisingly, they didn’t kick us out. The breakfast selection was really good too. The staff were so sweet ☀️💪🩷
