The family who runs Escola da Mestra da Portela Sampriz made me feel so welcome, and they were incredibly kind and helpful. I was fascinated by the building's history, and its preserved old-world charm is stunning. The views were breathtaking too. I absolutely loved my stay, it was truly amazing. Highly recommend!

We got to join in with the grape harvest on their vineyard, and in return had an amazing experience: a typical Portuguese lunch and lots of very good homemade wine. I’d recommend this place 11/10 and will definitely come back. Thanks for such a wonderful time! The hosts were so friendly and hospitable that it felt like an extra home. Catarina, her sister, and dad were the people we saw and spoke with most, and Catarina was especially quick to reply on WhatsApp and really helpful. Both the room and the whole house were beautiful and amazing.

The hosts were far above average in their competence and warmth. Their immediate family made us feel incredibly welcome, gave us recommendations for places to visit and eat, and created a truly family atmosphere. The accommodation has an incredible pool and outdoor area, and the decor throughout is in excellent taste. Hygiene was impeccable. Excellent! We left already making plans to return. I highly recommend it. Wonderful people, congratulations!
