We were greeted so warmly, and relaxing on the wide front terrace was lovely. The apartment had everything we needed, and right beside it we could see and hear the waterfall running by. Such a nice place to unwind.

We felt so welcome, and the cake was a lovely touch. It’s a calm, really nice place, spotlessly clean, dog friendly, and central to gerês. We’ll be back.

The grounds are lovely and green, and the outdoor areas are pleasant for dogs as long as they’re properly under control. Inside, the house feels comfortable and welcoming. At first, the sound of the waterfall formed by the river Vade can seem a little strange, but at night it’s like heavy rain, and the bedroom is very well insulated. Watching the water flow by is relaxing, made even sweeter by the delicious sponge cake Diana, the owner, leaves for visitors.

It was peaceful by the river, with a beautiful setting and a lovely garden where I could take my dogs for a walk. They left us a homemade cake and a bottle of local wine, and having air conditioning in the house was really convenient.
