Hotel Paço de Vitorino

The estate is lovely to wander around, with gardens, statues, fountains, and a pleasant path down to the river. It feels like an experience you don't come across in many places. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and Jorge was a wonderful host. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the pool and its beautiful views. Such a unique, gorgeous hotel. I'd say don't miss it if you're travelling anywhere in Portugal. We'll be back as soon as we can!

Jorge gave us a tour of the building and his knowledge of its history made it a highlight before we left. He and David were wonderful, and Jorge, the Director, really embodies hospitality. We only had one night, which was our only regret, and we'll definitely come back. This restored old military Paco is one of the best places we've stayed anywhere. I was able to drop off the luggage for the four of us before we set out early on the nearby Camino Portuguese. The rooms in both the main house and the remodelled stables were lovely, the beds comfortable, and the pool delightful. Breakfast was the best we've had in Portugal, with a great variety of high-quality food.

We were in the old building, and the room was quiet with one of the most comfortable beds I've had in Portugal. The gardens and pool are beautiful, too. Everyone treated us with such warmth, even by Portugal's already high standards for hospitality. Breakfast was delicious: great orange juice, coffee, bread, homemade cake and jams, and eggs. We hated having only one night and will try to come back.

We loved taking a trip into Ponte Lima for drinks and food, then coming back to unwind at the hotel. George and Miguel did so much to make our stay special. The Manor House is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely grounds and a garden that feels unique. Our room was large, the bed was just right, and the air conditioning worked well. The pool and views were incredible, it really feels like a little oasis. Great value, you won't be disappointed!
