After finishing our Madeira hike, our group of seven young hikers was relieved to arrive. The hotel itself is pretty good, but the welcome from staff wasn’t. The receptionist was extremely arrogant and disrespectful, and even followed us into the spa rooms to check whether we would behave. At 20:47 we were told to be quiet, though there was no music or noise.

We had a comfortable, clean room with a lovely ocean view. From the hotel you can see the Porto Moniz natural pools and the ocean. Breakfast was good, and free parking is available when there’s space.

Everything was very clean, and breakfast had a good variety. Our room wasn’t ready yet, but reception let us leave our backpacks there so we could head to the natural pool. We only got to stay one night, which was a shame. The *** Hotel was lovely and worth the money, without feeling overpriced.

The staff were welcoming and really helpful, arranging transfers and taxis with no hassle. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and came with surprisingly good coffee. We also had a stunning sea view from the room, which made this comfortable Madeira hotel feel extra special. It delivers more than I expected from a three-star place.

My room was simple, spotless, and faced the ocean, with a balcony you could step out onto. The breakfast buffet was a delicious start to the day, and staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel Euro Moniz is right beside the incredible natural pools, making it a great base for exploring the coastline. Courtyard parking is available. I’d recommend it for a relaxing stay in Porto Moniz, Madeira.
