Dinner was the part of this stay I know I’ll remember longest. Sharing a delicious, filling family-style meal with everyone felt like a Camino memory I’ll carry with me. Breakfast was simple and just right for an early start. The albergue itself has warm decor and a lovely, well-loved feel, with very comfortable facilities after a long day walking. I stretched in the lush garden with a yoga mat and got to say hello to the sweet, friendly dog next door. A friend of the family greeted me so kindly. I never usually write reviews, but I’d happily make a detour to stay here again on another Camino. Thank you for everything.

After three weeks on the winter Camino, this was the most beautiful albergue I stayed in. Diogo and Julia made us feel welcome, and the meal was cooked and served with real care. The house is tastefully decorated, and our room was comfortable and heated. Thank you.

Diego shared a useful talk about sights to see and places to visit, and we also had a wonderful pilgrims’ dinner at a beautifully set table. Every part of the meal felt exquisite. The villa is comfortable and beautiful, and Diego and his wife Julia were so friendly and helpful. We hadn’t imagined an albergue could be this lovely. It was a memorable stay.

That communal dinner was great, and the setting was just as lovely. Julia, who lives there with her family, was so thoughtful toward all the pilgrims. It’s a beautiful place, and she’s just as beautiful inside and out. I’ve never come across a more genuinely warm, friendly, traditional albergue. Five stars, and many thanks. Diogo and Julia made our stop along the way such a joy. Their home is incredible, and the music they put on set a nice mood right away. It was a great place to freshen up and relax before a delicious dinner shared with everyone. I’d definitely add Albergue Quinta Estrada Romana to your route!
