Moov Hotel Oeiras

On 30.11.2025 I booked a room at Moov hotel Oeiras, booking number 6479154456. As soon as I checked in, I noticed the air conditioning didn't work. The window faced the sunny side, and at 23:50 the room was 24.7 degrees. I need it to be 20 degrees to sleep comfortably, and I couldn't sleep in that heat. Reception told me the AC was in winter mode, meaning it was off and only worked for heating. I tried opening the window, but it was blocked and only opened a tiny, nearly useless crack. I asked Moov hotel to check me out and refund me because I hadn't touched anything in the room. They refused, saying I'd booked through booking.com. I called booking.com support, who said they'd sent Moov hotel a cancellation request. Half an hour later, reception said they hadn't received it. I called booking.com again and handed the phone to Moov reception, but the hotel still refused to cancel the booking. They said there was nothing they could do because all the rooms not facing the sun were occupied. I asked for the manager. She said I had to wait until morning while they reviewed the cancellation request. Where was I supposed to wait, in the lobby or out on the sidewalk all night? I filed a complaint in their complaint book, but it still hadn't been reviewed by 4.12.2025. I spent another two hours calling booking.com for help. With the window as open as it would go, the room only cooled to 24.1 degrees. Of course I didn't sleep. In the morning I had a headache and heartache. I asked reception to call the manager, but she didn't answer. That was that. I lost my money and my sleep, and they ruined the next day as if that were normal. Everyone, including booking.com, backed away from helping and made me feel like their client was an idiot who could go to hell if something went wrong. Don't stay there.
