Adega Floresta Residence

You're just a three-minute walk from Sao Bento railway station, and R. das Flores is only steps away. Se do Porto and Igreja e Torre dos Clerigos are nearby as well, so the location is really handy. We stayed in one of the self-catering apartments. Ours was bright, very clean, and well equipped, with the bedroom upstairs reached by an open staircase. There are several floors and no lift, so that's useful to know. They kindly let us leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout. Recommended.

We found a lovely tucked-away outdoor table with just the right mix of sun and shade. The wine servings were generous, too. The food was great value: the side salad was crisp, the bacalhau con nata was superb, and the beef was great. They'd clearly put care into the sides as well, with perfectly cooked, aromatic rice. I wish I'd known about this place earlier so I could have gone every day of my trip. If you're too hungry to wait in line for the tapas place next door, just come here and enjoy!

Modern place, great location, and it had everything I needed. Just right for a weekend away.

Food in Portugal is terrible everywhere, but this bar is a bit above average.
