The price is good, and there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars, bakeries, and small local shops nearby. Auchan is a two-minute walk away, and there's a little park where local men play cards. It's a straight walk into central Porto in about 20 minutes, with buses and the metro as other options. We wanted to stay outside the tourist center, so the location suited us. The host replied quickly when I asked something, though the answer was already in the email and I'd missed it in all the information. We were in Room 3. The mattress, towels, room, and very hot shower water were good, and the internet was fast. It's really only suitable for one person, though, especially if you're working remotely. There is one desk and chair and very little storage. The place is poorly supplied: no toilet roll, cleaning items, or sanitary supplies. Sheets weren't very clean, and after someone burned food on our arrival day, the smell lingered throughout the place for two days. The room stays damp, the windows are always dripping inside, and the floor is freezing. Even with the heater, it never got above 14 degrees, so we bought slippers. The bed frame creaks badly, and the shower head was rotted, so we replaced it. There's little storage, and the two short hanging rails won't fit bath towels. There are no hooks, and only the sink offers a flat surface for toiletries. The bathroom is so small that if you're over 6'1", you'll hit your backside on the door when leaning over the sink. The large towels have nowhere to dry except the clothing rack or a door, and in the damp they don't dry elsewhere. There aren't enough sockets either. Under the desk, one multi-plug is connected to another and powers the heater and TV. By the bed there's one socket on the left for the light, and two on the right, one also used by a light. That's the main place to charge things unless you unplug the lights. This isn't ready for digital nomads. Since we're here for two weeks, I ended up buying a heater, shower head, hangers, extension lead, and dehumidifier. At 10 pm every night, a drill-powered blower from the restaurant next door is loud. At first, the cleaner arrived most mornings around 10 and banged things around. Then they didn't come for a week. The one-ply toilet paper takes about 90 cm per use, and we had to buy our own supplies: no bin bags, paper towels, toilet roll, broom, or mop. The floor was dusty, and we had to keep the place clean ourselves. The shared space is tiny, with room for at most two people, though the place can house eight. There's a roughly four-foot fridge with one shelf per room and a microwave. No stove or toaster, the oven doesn't work, and neither does the coffee maker. The only chopping board is old and broken, and there are just two knives. I wish we'd paid a little more for an apartment or somewhere with a proper common area. The photos make it look larger and better than it is. For the price, it's decent, but if you're working remotely, don't book for two people. It's barely good for one.

The location isn't far from the center, with some good cafés, restaurants, and other amenities nearby. The mattress is comfortable, and the room is bright and airy with a high ceiling. There's a small kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, microwave, plates, cutlery, and basic supplies. The internet seemed reasonably quick, under 100 Mbps, though I haven't tried working on it. The price is reasonable, and the problems explain why. The room smells damp and musty. We bought air fresheners and a dehumidifier, but the smell is still there. The tiny, old electric radiator can't heat the room, so we also bought a fan heater to keep warm and dry things out during our December and January stay. Storage is nowhere near enough for two people, with only four small drawers and one rail. Towels won't dry in the bathroom, and there's nowhere else except that same clothes rail. There are very few outlets, and one doesn't work. The bed base creaks like a ghost ship. It's described as a digital nomad friendly space, but two people can't really work in the room. The desk chair wobbles, has loose fastenings, and its padding is so flattened that sitting in it for more than half an hour is uncomfortable. The shower head was so old its rubber nozzles had perished, leaving water to dribble out without direction. We had to spend money on a replacement. Room 3 faces Tamariz, a bar and dance club. Most nights around 10 pm, the owner takes a powerful leaf blower up and down the street for about ten minutes. People outside also have loud, long conversations between midnight and 2 am. You can hear all of it through the single glazed windows, which are covered in mould and condensation. If you're a digital nomad who likes DIY, cold rooms, damp towels, doesn't mind the smell, is partly deaf, and doesn't need much sleep, maybe this is your place. If you expect even basic accommodation to be warm, dry, and fit for purpose, I'd look elsewhere.

Having supermarkets nearby helped us keep our stay affordable, and we really appreciated the daily cleaning. We were happy with the accommodation and its location. The shared fridge was organized with a separate shelf for each apartment, which worked well. There was also a kitchen, although the oven didn't work. That wasn't a big problem for us since there was a microwave.

The room was in poor shape, with a broken radiator and an awful pillow. On arrival, the keypad was broken and we couldn't get in. We waited outside for two hours before they finally opened the door remotely, though they could have done that straight away. We then had no electricity for two days. They wanted me to stay in the room for the technician, which is the last thing I want to spend my time doing as a tourist. They said they'd refund part of the payment, but I never got anything. Absolute crooks. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

For the price, it's alright, but the room hadn't been vacuumed properly and there was hair left by the previous guests.
