Apartments Oporto Palace

I thought this was a very good choice, especially for sightseeing. There are plenty of restaurants around, and Continente, a well-stocked supermarket where you can find everything, is 1.2 km away. The building is about 42 metres above river level, so coming straight up from the river on foot means climbing a small stone path with around 125 steps, plus the stairs inside. There's no elevator, which could be difficult for older people or anyone with heavy luggage. With a car, though, it's no problem at all. The climb pays off, and the place is beautiful.

It's a clean, spacious apartment with all the facilities. Shops and cafes are nearby, and the centre is within walking distance. The one drawback is that it's on the third floor and there's no elevator.

We really liked this clean, new apartment and its lovely view over the river. The Wi-Fi was the weak point: it could be slow, and sometimes we couldn't connect at all.

Set in Porto's old quarter, this modern warehouse-style apartment has a stunning view of the Douro river. The furniture is modern and comfortable. I'll certainly come back.
