Camarinha Oporto Apartments

Mariana, who met us, was really helpful, and the apartment was big enough for us. It’s near a Metro station and a small supermarket, and the bedding and towels were spotless. We stayed three nights in October. On the last night, though, we saw three large cockroaches in the lounge. The apartment feels tired and needs some care. One shower attachment was broken, so it could only be used handheld, and the shower door was loose. A panel on the en suite bathroom door was loose too. There was enough crockery and cutlery, but very little else in the kitchen, and not enough pans to cook a meal. We ate out, but it would’ve been nice to make breakfast. There was a price list for water, wine, chocolate and other items, but none were in the apartment. When I asked, I was told they hadn’t been restocked. The terrace had a broken chair and needs maintenance. These things should be easy to fix, and the apartment could be excellent if the cockroaches are dealt with.

Everything was within walking distance, and we had a great stay. Thanks, Mariana and André, for the lovely service. We’d definitely come back ❤️

The host was really nice and helpful. It’s a beautiful home, spacious, clean and comfortable, in an amazing location!

The host cancelled our reservation the day before we were due to arrive and asked me to cancel it myself. Since the booking was non-refundable, doing that would have meant paying the full penalties. The host’s cancellation caused a lot of inconvenience and came across as unprofessional management. A negative experience.
