Chic&basic Tokyo Hoose

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and focused on good service. I’d definitely stay again. It was easy to walk anywhere in 10-20 minutes, and the hotel is in a quiet area, probably quieter at the back. There are several peaceful, scenic sitting areas. The rooms were nice, the location was great, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Dinner service was convenient and excellent too. I liked that bottled water was available every day on request, and there was a fridge in the room. Highly recommend!

We spent five nights at Chic and Basic Gravity and loved how easy the team made everything. They gave us a great place to relax and use as a base, and I can’t thank them enough. I haven’t had a hotel stay this good in ages. Our room was at the back, looking onto the garden, so it was a bit quieter, which suited us. It was well designed and stocked, with a Nespresso machine, safe, aircon, and a TV with the usual smart features. The hotel’s beautifully decorated, in a fantastic location, and full of lovely, friendly staff who understand hospitality. The food and drinks at the bar and restaurant were amazing.

The staff were easygoing, and the rooms still feel fresh and clean. There’s a free, fast internet connection, and the place feels warm and welcoming. Our daughter loved the decorations, with upside down signs and shoes and pot plants fixed to the ceiling. It’s bigger than it looks in the photos, and the little garden in the middle is a relaxing spot. We arrived in a Tesla and had to pull over on the street out front briefly. They then opened the garage for our large Model Y. The underground parking has plenty of spaces and doesn’t feel too crowded, plus two big chargers with two ports each for cars. Lots of bars and restaurants are close by, including top star Indian, Japanese, vegan, and other options. We’ll stay again.

We spent a wonderful week at Chic And Basic Gravity Porto, and the little thoughtful touches made it even more memorable. The hotel is lovely, in a great location, with incredible staff. Housekeeping was lovely, as was every member of staff we met. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable king size bed and lovely big windows that opened. The shower pressure was great, and I liked having a water closet, though I wish there’d been a fan. Parking at the hotel was another perk, available for a nightly fee.
