CoolHostel

I paid 43€ a night for a single room and stayed two nights on my own. The place was clean, well furnished, and good value, with a fully equipped kitchen that included a washing machine. The shared bathroom was clean and used by just one other room. Everything was within walking distance, so the location was great. I had nothing else to complain about. Remember to check the email for the key pickup details, since you also need to collect it at house 225.

The room was very quiet and spotless, with a single bed on the top floor. I stayed three days, and both the heater and Wi-Fi worked well. It’s right in the heart of Porto. Sharing a bathroom with other guests didn’t bother me, and I’d highly recommend the place.

The rooms were clean and the location was good. That’s about all I liked. The guy at reception was aggressive, which is no way to treat people working in a hostel. There’s a lot that needs improving, so beware and book somewhere else. There are plenty of good options. Porto Spot Hostel was completely different, a very good place.

The mattress was comfortable and the room was a good size, but the bunk bed frame was unstable. Every movement from the person above shook the whole thing and disturbed whoever was below. The luggage drawers held a lot, but using them also caused a lot of disturbance to the person sleeping on the lower bunk. I was lucky to get two nights without anyone in the top bed. When someone arrived, I couldn’t sleep.
