The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and our room was spacious, stylish, and very clean. It had air-conditioning, a kitchen, and a large bathroom, and stayed quiet despite all the nearby restaurants and public transport. The Arc Carris is in a great area, with everything we wanted to see within walking distance, and train, tram, and bus stops close by for places farther out. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next Porto trip.

Everything was immaculate, and we could always find somewhere to park right in front of the apartment. It’s an easy walk to nearly all the city’s tourist spots, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We also loved having breakfast at the hotel just a few meters away. There was lots of variety, everything tasted delicious, and the dining room decor was lovely. Booking with them was the best decision, and we’ll most likely come back!

There’s a password system for the rooms, so you don’t have to worry about losing keys. The location is nice, but the website photos didn’t feel very realistic. Our room faced the apartment across from us, and if we’d walked a little closer, we could even have heard their conversations. There were no closets for our things, so we had to use spots like the TV unit or kitchen counter. The coffee capsules and water were supplied only on the first day, which seemed ridiculous. We booked for a week, but they didn’t help us check in early, and didn’t let us into the room until 03:15 pm. Check-out is possible until 12:30 at the latest. The staff weren’t very helpful or friendly.

This was awful. Please triple-check which room you’re booking, because the photos were so different from what we got. The pictures showed two separate bedrooms and 2 beds, but on arrival there was only 1 bed and a sofa. One couple couldn’t sleep on the sofa because the guys had health problems. At reception, we asked about the mismatch and were told we could get the room we’d booked only by paying another 150 euros. If I’d known it came with a sofa, we could have booked a proper two-bedroom hotel for the same price. We also found a crushed insect on the wall, plus lots of spiders and webs. One bathroom was impossible to use. Someone came into our room without our knowledge while we were inside, which is absolutely not normal. The reception guys said it wasn’t their fault and that all the guests complain. But if everyone complains, I don’t see any bad reviews. I’ve never seen such a high extra charge for something I’d already booked, or regular people entering my room when it wasn’t cleaning time. And I’ve never seen a dead insect smeared on a wall before.
