Stay Hotel Torres Vedras Centro

I only stayed one night, but the whole team made it a lovely experience. I checked in at night and found the staff helpful, calm, and very kind. I was happy with the service and would recommend the hotel to others. Excellent, bravo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you, Stay Hotel team. I’d love to visit again.

The bedroom smelled of beer, and the door wouldn’t close properly. There were odd stains on the ceiling that looked like they might be from damp. A bedside table was missing, the headboard was broken with nails sticking out, and the wall picture frame was bent and looked ready to break. The lamp was held in place with black tape. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, and this one was awful. Go somewhere else if you can.

The room was clean, but the plumbing is so old that the pipes rattle in neighboring rooms whenever the next room flushes. There was mold inside the refrigerator, and the room had no USB ports. The safe didn’t work either. The location by the park in the main square is good. Breakfast was adequate, though extremely overpriced for what you get.

When I got home, I realized I’d left a dress in the closet. They said they hadn’t found it and didn’t even try asking the cleaning staff, saying there would otherwise have been a report. The room also hadn’t been cleaned when I arrived, and the elevator carpet was filthy. There wasn’t a spare outlet for charging a phone or other device, so I had to unplug the minibar, and the socket was in a very inconvenient spot. Cleanliness was poor for the price. When I contacted the property directly, they quoted me more than €50 per night above the Booking.com rate. I’d avoid it.
