Guest House 31 De Janeiro

Getting help at reception was frustrating. I asked where I could print my flight ticket, but the staff member kept repeating answers that didn't make sense to me and could barely understand English. I used Google Translate, and he eventually understood, but I still couldn't follow his reply. He didn't seem willing to point it out on Google Maps, and when I asked for the shop's spelling and searched it, nothing came up. The facilities weren't as new or clean as the photos suggested. The wooden bed frame rattled whenever I turned over, the soundproofing was poor, and I could hear the TV and people arguing in the street or neighboring rooms. The mirror light didn't work and the bin was half broken. The low price and nearby metro and attractions may be the only upsides. I wouldn't choose this guesthouse again.

The room was pretty basic, but that didn't really matter since we only needed it for sleeping. We had a lovely time at this guest house and were very happy with the experience. The location is perfect, right in the city center and about five minutes from the main sights and monuments. The price felt more than fair for the quality. I recommend it 100%.

There were lots of rooms, and reception was open 24/7. I stayed in a four-bed room. The free Wi-Fi was quite fast, and the room had a view.

The place was clean and in a good spot. Basic accommodation, and the staff were nice.
