The most memorable part of our 9-night stay was how thoughtfully we were looked after. The owners had chickens in the garden, so there were free-range eggs, and every morning they left bread and pastries on the front door. On our first night the fridge was stocked with food, drinks, and wine, which meant we could bake a pizza right away. We liked the wine enough to look for the same one at the supermarket. They also cooked us Portuguese chicken rice, gave us chestnuts for the chestnut-eating cultural day, and even bought a new drying rack because the rainy season had brought so much rain. As we left, they gave us souvenirs from Hatano. Patricia also shared lots of tips for Porto sights and restaurants and lent us a one-day transport card. Once the credit ran out, we could top it up, but Uber worked out cheaper and easier for us, so we returned the card at checkout. We’re from Taiwan and didn’t speak the language, but felt very comfortable there. The house had everything we needed. It wasn’t in the city center, but the area was quiet and convenient: three minutes on foot to a bus stop, seven to the tram, and close to tourist attractions. There were two small shops nearby, though they take lunch breaks and aren’t always open. All that care gave us lovely memories of the trip. Thank you so much.

We spent nine days there, and the host kept finding ways to make us feel at home. One day she brought us chicken risotto she’d cooked herself. It was such a warm, welcoming stay, and I’ll definitely choose this cozy home again next time I’m in Portugal.
Patricia and Joaquín were so kind and thoughtful, and their hospitality made me feel right at home. The place is super cozy, and the breakfasts were exquisite. I’d go back a thousand times.
This is the best place to stay in Porto! The owners treat you with so much courtesy and attention. I highly recommend it.
Very quiet, with transport nearby.
