The man who welcomed us was very helpful and explained everything. The hotel was clean, had a nice, homey atmosphere, and was easy to reach from the center and the underground. It was our last night in Portugal while visiting Porto, and the early breakfast with coffee and pastries was perfect before our morning flight. There was nice music, and when we got back late, the music in the kitchen made the place feel peaceful. There’s a place nearby that can print tickets for 10 cents if you email them over. The laundry across from the hotel is open until 11 pm. I really recommend Bakery Grupo, on the way to the metro, for its fantastic baked goods. We had a great time!

The staff were kind and helpful, and the neighborhood has lots of inexpensive restaurants that are very good. It’s close to the metro and a bus station. The room was a little small but had its own bathroom. With the thin walls, it can be really quiet or noisy as hell, depending on the other guests.

It’s in the middle of the local shopping area, with lots of confectioneries and coffee shops around. A proper meal takes at least a 10 minute walk, though there is a nearby place, just not really my thing. Breakfast is continental with limited choices. From the street, you might think this is a two star spot, but inside it’s beautiful and calming, with love as the theme. It was very quiet during my stay of almost a week, apart from one night with noisy neighbors, which was down to the lodgers. I even organized a dinner in the kitchen, and that’s welcome. Everything was clean and neat. You mostly see guests, the owner, or workers in the morning.

It’s right by the metro station and about 1.5 km from the city center if you fancy a walk. A quiet stay with everything you need: A/C, a balcony, a great shower, towels, and good Wi-Fi. The bedroom was phenomenal, the bed was a dream, and the staff were so friendly.
