The hosts really made our stay. They stayed up late to let us in when we had car trouble and were so accommodating with my toddler. Maison des Amis is gorgeous and in a great spot, with everything we needed. The rooms looked even better than the photos. We had such a good time and would highly recommend it!

Nelson, the owner, was very welcoming, and I loved seeing all the antiques around the property. The location is central and convenient, but not right in the middle of the tourist crowds. Just be aware there are quite a few stairs. We traveled with a young baby and all the gear that comes with that. Carrying it up wasn't an issue for us, though I can imagine the stairs could make access difficult for some.

Isabel and Pedro made us feel very welcome, and the breakfast was superb. The guest house is wonderful, with large, luxurious, comfortable rooms. I'd happily stay again.
