We paid for breakfast once, but preferred the options outside, so we ate at other cafes. The bed was comfortable, the room had complimentary water, the shower was good if you’re careful not to flood the bathroom, and the staff were lovely. The location was very good, within walking distance of plenty of attractions and restaurants. We checked in on the day of the championship party. Even with the event close by and lots of noise outside, we barely heard it in the room. Our air con had a problem, but when we mentioned it the next day, they dealt with it right away. They offered a fan, but that wouldn’t have fixed it, so they offered to move us to another room, which we really appreciated. Everything was handled smoothly. Highly recommend, and I’d stay again if we’re back in Porto.

The location is ideal, right at the edge of Praca da Batalha, by the Church of St. Ildefonso. From there you can head south to the Douro River, west through the old town’s colorful houses, narrow lanes and cathedrals, or northwest to Avenida Dos Aliados. The hotel is modern and clean, with great rooms. Restaurant and breakfast were very good, and the staff were professional and polite.

Space is limited, so you probably won’t spend much time in the room. The location is fantastic, though watch for the usual city risks, especially pickpockets. The staff have been fantastic and very accommodating. Breakfast is ample, but it can get busy when several groups are staying at once. It seems to calm down after 8.30. The good points outweigh the small stuff.

We were really happy with this hotel during our pleasant stay in central Porto. The room was amazing, with a spectacular city view, and the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast had a good range of food in a clean, spacious area, especially good bread. There’s also a cute bar, and the restaurant and breakfast room has a view too.

A great place for a business trip or a holiday, and we’ll definitely stay again. The hotel is near the city center, the rooms were clean, and everyone we dealt with was top notch, professional and friendly. Front desk staff were A+ and helped us book train tickets. Fabio at the bar made us an awesome cocktail, and the wait staff in the bar and restaurant, along with housekeeping, were excellent. The Bachalau a Bris was the best we had in Porto.
