We had a lovely weekend at this Porto hotel. The staff were amazing, especially Hugo at the front door and Raquel in the lobby bar. The rooms were comfortable, the coffee was delicious, and breakfast was among the best I’ve had at a Marriott brand. There were pastries waiting with a nice note acknowledging my elite level. It’s away from Porto’s busy area, but an easy walk through the city center to the Ribeira district, or a very inexpensive Uber ride. The main buffet items included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, noodles, and vegetables, though they aren’t pictured here.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with plenty of room to relax. The bathroom was large, and the rain shower had excellent pressure and reliably hot water. Staff were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming. They honored my Bonvoy status, which came with a very good fresh regional breakfast buffet each morning and access to excellent wellness facilities: a fantastic gym, indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. All were great after a long day walking. The hotel is in a quiet area, with easy public transport to the airport and city center. You can also walk if you don’t mind a 20-minute trek. A very comfortable, enjoyable stay!

There are amazing views from this wonderful hotel, set high above Porto. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect, and the food and variety are wonderful. It works well for business or a vacation, with an infinity pool and a state-of-the-art fitness facility. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in Porto for any reason. I’m looking forward to staying again. 👍👍💕

Beatriz at the front desk made my stay excellent. She was warm, welcoming, and professional from the moment I arrived. Check-in went smoothly, and she handled everything efficiently, making sure I felt comfortable and looked after. She went out of her way to help with every request, always with a smile and genuine care. That mix of kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism is rare. Her outstanding service really lifted my experience. She’s a real asset to the hotel. Highly recommended!

The restaurant and breakfast are good, and there’s a nice rooftop patio and pool. As a titanium member, I got an upgrade, a good breakfast, and included parking. The October value was good, and secure parking is excellent if you need it. Renaissance Porto is a newer, modern hotel in a safe neighborhood, about a 20-30 minute walk from the old town and riverfront. The room lights were difficult to operate, and the gym is in another building and doesn’t have good air conditioning. Recommended, especially if you have a car or want modern amenities.
