The Convo Porto Hotel & Apartment

We stayed in the apartment next door. It’s modern, clean, and spacious, but the street is very busy with traffic all day and night. The windows don’t block the noise very well, so it gets loud even at night. If you’re not very sensitive to noise, it’s a great place.

We’d read a lot of bad reviews and weren’t sure what to expect, but our stay in a Suite with terrace wasn’t so bad. The hotel is a little outdated and could use renovation, though the bedding was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked. The location is good, with several good restaurants and cafes nearby, plus metro.

The apartment we booked for my family had two double beds and one sofa bed. It was spacious and felt like home, and the blinds system was cool. It was very clean and felt pretty safe. Construction next door starting at 8 AM was the one issue, and pretty frustrating, though we only stayed two nights. It’s a nice place, though I’m not sure I’d call it a hotel, it felt more like an Airbnb. Check-in is self-service, but we were able to check in and leave our bags before 1PM. The location was okay, with transit nearby, and Bolt was affordable. I’d recommend it, it was worth the price.

The only good thing was being close to the metro station. The hotel is old and the rooms are dirty, with no basic things like hangars for clothes or ironing facilities. The bathroom was mouldy and dirty, and the balcony in the superior room had bird droppings and dead plants all over it. This isn’t a 4-star hotel.
