The Passenger Hostel

The building work for the metro makes it a bit noisier now, though some noise is to be expected in downtown Porto, especially by a train station. The rooms are well maintained, and the 12-person room has plenty of space with a small shared area in the middle. Bathrooms, showers, and kitchen were all in good shape. They also run fun activities and usually offer dinner for free or at a low price. I’d recommend it.

The bed was comfortable, the locker roomy, and the bathrooms and showers looked recently renovated. There’s also a spacious, open kitchen. The hostel sits in a beautiful station, with everything only a few metres away. The staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever met. From the bottom of my heart, 10/10, and I totally recommend it!

The location is amazing, check-in was easy, and breakfast is included and really good. Beds were comfortable and clean, bathrooms very clean, and there were great activities too. In the group room, the bed had its own light, charger, holder, and curtain, so overhead lights weren’t an issue and it felt private. People were pretty respectful, and as a student with earplugs, I slept well. The price was very reasonable. I stayed in April and later recommended it to a friend visiting Porto. She loved it. It remains one of the best hostels I’ve been to. 10/10.

On this trip I’ve stayed in five hostels, and Passenger is my favourite. The staff are lively and easy to talk to, breakfast is tasty, and there are lots of group activities. The building is beautiful and historic. I’ve never had a hostel use wristbands as keys for both the door and lockers, but it worked brilliantly. I didn’t have to worry about locking myself out, and getting into my locker at any hour was simple and quiet. There’s a laundry, too. They’re doing a great job.
