YOUROPO - Market 1A in Oporto

Market 3B was a lovely room, spacious, spotless and well stocked, with a mix of historic character and modern style. It felt welcoming, and the decor was gorgeous. The full kitchen and bathroom both had plenty of counter space, and the walk-in shower was roomy. The two Juliette balconies, or balconettes, with French doors in the living area were a real treat. The location made getting around easy. Bolhão Market, with its gift shops and restaurants, is just steps away, and large grocery stores are around the corner in either direction. The room sits between two of the area's biggest metro stations, with a bus stop right outside. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the friendly employees answered all my questions. We could have used a second luggage rack for our two bags. There wasn't furniture to put clothes away, either, though I'm sure they would have provided another rack if we'd asked. Some decorative space might work better as shelves or cubbies for travelers' things. Also, the shower seemed to have had two glass panels, but only one was there during our visit. Water spread across the bathroom floor and made it slippery. These were minor issues and didn't get in the way of our stay. It's hard to find much else to complain about. This review is for Market 3B. From the street, you climb two flights of stairs and take an elevator for the last two floors, so it works for people able to manage those stairs. Read the confirmation email carefully: the key is collected a few doors down from the room. We missed that and spent a few extra minutes figuring it out. I'd highly recommend this room and would absolutely stay again. It's a great base in a perfect location.
