The concierge team were incredible when my husband became severely ill on our last night in Porto. We were meant to fly at 5 a.m., and when I went downstairs around 1 a.m. expecting directions to a hospital or ambulance, they calmly arranged for a physician to come to our room. The doctor arrived within 30 minutes. They also helped me safely find an ATM to get cash for the doctor, extended our stay when it was clear my husband couldn’t travel, and found us a 24-hour pharmacy. When I asked where to get soup, the chef made him a warm bowl of chicken soup and sent it up. Their kindness and care got us through one of the most stressful 48 hours of our lives. We’re forever indebted to the team. The hotel itself is stunning, with welcoming, attentive staff. The breakfast was hands-down the best hotel breakfast I’ve had, the cocktail bar was incredible, and the location was perfect, within walking distance of Porto’s major attractions. I can’t recommend this place enough. They deserve every booking and all the praise they get. ❤️

The library was lovely, and the pastries there were delicious. Breakfast was a 10/10 as well. Our room was really comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, and the staff were attentive and lovely. We had a wonderful stay at Torel Palace. Thanks so much, we’d definitely return!

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautiful, and breakfast is rich and tasty. The hotel runs like a Swiss watch, but still feels soft and welcoming. I’ve never had a better hospitality experience in my life. I’m a Michelin star chef who owns 60 restaurants around the world, so hospitality is my second name. Every person on the team cared for us as if we were their most beloved guests. If you want to feel like part of a dream family, go there.

The location worked perfectly for me since it was close to the luggage storage I used. They also upgraded me to the presidential suite for free, and I really appreciated the welcome treats. It’s one of the most beautiful, unusual hotels I’ve stayed in. Each room takes inspiration from a culturally influential Portuguese figure, and the decor is wonderful.
