Yes! Porto Hostel

Yes! Hostel has great rooms and a wonderful location, and the staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Each bed has a personal light, a charging point, and a locker, plus a curtain for the lower bunks. There’s also a sink in the room, the beds are quiet, the showers are roomy, and the toilets are good. The walking tours with Porto Walkers were all great, and they put on dinner in house every night with free drinks and a shot afterward. I’d absolutely recommend it.

I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels over the last few years, and this was one of my favourites. It felt especially welcoming for someone travelling alone. The rooms were roomy, and each bed had a huge drawer underneath that could fit a backpack or suitcase and came with its own key. There’s a three course meal for 20 euros, plus a bar crawl, and I thought both were worth the money. I’d recommend staying here in Porto.

I’d come back to Porto just for this hostel. The staff were laid back and really interested in getting to know guests, and they made my parents, aged 72 and 65, feel welcome too. We all had a great time despite the age gap. They offer things to do, including a free walking tour and a 10€ three course dinner with drinks. Thanks, everyone!

We stayed six days and felt right at home. The location is great, the staff are super friendly, and the facilities are good, including huge lockers under the beds. Breakfast was okay. My four bed dorm was cramped, though I saw other rooms that were much more spacious and better arranged, so maybe I just got unlucky. We didn’t try the dinners, but they always looked and smelled great. We also met the chef, who had done a lot of culinary studies, so I expect they’re quite good.
