Villas Marim

The host was warm and friendly, and shared helpful local tips about things to do, places to visit and where to eat. We hired a car, which made it easy to get around this quiet area, and there was parking. The villas were easy to find and well located. We spent four nights here with our baby and toddler and had a great time. Our villa was nicely decorated, roomy, and had a well equipped kitchen. The pool felt a little cold for this time of year, though I imagine it would be just right in summer. There are lemon and orange trees all around the complex, and the lovely scent hits you as you step outside. We picked some fruit for cooking and fresh juice. A great place to stay, and one I’d gladly recommend.

The boat trip to two islands was so picturesque, with only four other people along for the day. We stopped for lunch in a quaint, traditional fishing village, where we had lovely seafood, though there were other choices too. After that, we were dropped at a deserted beach with umbrellas for two hours to swim and relax. We came for the natural surroundings, and Villas Marim is inside the Ria Formosa natural reserve. The stay itself was fabulous. The villas are brand new, everything worked perfectly, and they’re equipped to a high standard. The outside areas are pleasant and tidy, and the owner took such good care of us. Great value for money. We’ll definitely be back. Nine years ago i found home

The houses were brand new and very clean, and the owners were wonderful, always ready to help us. We stayed there last summer for our holidays and loved how peaceful it was. The pool area and facilities are fantastic, and the view over the Ria Formosa Natural Park and the sea is absolutely divine. I definitely recommend it. Five stars.

Victor is a hero! Lovely place to stay, with comfortable apartments, a nice pool, and free lemons and oranges. I’d recommend having a car.
