Home for Travellers

After about four hours and a few messages, at exactly 9:30 PM, we were offered a full refund if we left right away. Better late than never, right Suze? :) We asked to meet in person to sort things out, but that never happened. Instead, the owner left replacement bed linen outside the door and quickly disappeared. It had taken a long discussion to get her to promise fresh sheets after we pointed out that the ones provided had already been used. She accused us of using them ourselves, though we had only just arrived. When we mentioned the mold, she said it couldn’t be there because the walls had been painted recently, maybe they missed a spot. The musty smell and moldy walls made more of an impression than the atmosphere, and we were met with used sheets as soon as we came in, along with constant street noise and its so-called “authentic urban experience.” If you want a stay you won’t forget, you’ve found the place. We’ve had enough, thanks. Save yourself the money, time, and energy.
