We liked being surrounded by nature, while still having a handy central spot for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants across the island. The house was well equipped, and the terrace view and little garden were lovely. The hosts were very friendly and answered all our questions about Sao-Miguel and the other Azore Islands. Our kids also had a great time with the three friendly dogs and several cats. The one drawback was the humidity. We couldn't tell where it came from, and hadn't run into the same issue on Pico or Terceira.

Such a lovely spot, right in the middle of nature.

Luiz and Henrique treated us wonderfully. The house is right in the center of the island, so it's close to everything, yet far enough away to avoid the bustle. It's clean, has beautiful views, and being out in nature makes it easy to relax and take it all in. One of the best rural houses I've stayed in.

Luis was a wonderful owner, always around to help with whatever we needed. The house itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and its location makes it easy to get around the island. A lovely place to stay, highly recommended.

Sr Henrique, that rose liqueur was incredible! The smell took me straight back to the past, and the taste was divine. The owners' hospitality was five-star, too. A wonderful place, no hesitation in recommending Casa da Mediana. Best of luck to everyone there 😍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
