The village was a lovely place to explore, and the walk up to Santa Barbara at sunrise or sunset was especially nice. We stayed for three nights in mid October with my husband and our 7 month old daughter. Antonio and his wife made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast was delicious. They’d also thought of useful things for the baby. It’s a great base for seeing the region. Thank you, Antonio, we’d happily recommend it.

Traveling by motorcycle, I really appreciated having secure parking inside the courtyard. The rooms were immaculate and nicely presented, and breakfast was the highlight. Antonio, his wife, and the staff were all so welcoming, a lovely example of Portuguese hospitality. I couldn’t recommend Casa Da Trigueira more highly.

Such a lovely little village, and a beautifully restored house tucked into it. The owner was friendly and helpful, and my room was nice and very clean. A real hidden gem.

A really peaceful spot if you’re looking for some quiet. The couple hosting us were kind, polite, and always ready to help. D. São served a delicious breakfast, and the surrounding area is well worth a visit. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.
