Helena and Ricardo made us feel like we were staying with family. They’re incredibly friendly and focused on looking after their guests, and the rest of the staff were lovely and so warm. The rooms were spotless, with every detail taken care of. The food and wine were high quality, and the estate and surrounding land are beautiful. Having traveled internationally, I can say this was one of the most unique and beautiful experiences of my life. The attention to detail and personal service surpassed every five-star American hotel I’ve stayed in, and the quality of the food and wine was hard to match in the United States. It was a dream stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The Douro Valley view from the pool is beautiful, and the whole place feels cozy and quiet, with lovely decor and nice touches everywhere. Our rooms were tastefully decorated, and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful, and made sure our requests were taken care of. The food was so good that we decided to eat here instead of trying any other restaurants. We’d definitely come back!

The indoor spa was relaxing and fun, and I had a great time. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a luxurious design and thoughtful details throughout. It’s one of the most beautiful and unusual places I’ve been to, in a magical setting. Highly recommended if you want to experience Portugal in a different way.

We stayed here during our 14-day trip to Portugal, and this was the best location of the whole trip. Dinner was the best we had too. The hosts make everything themselves, and John chose wines that paired perfectly with the dishes. They were very helpful, the rooms were luxurious, and the view of the Douro Valley from the pool was beautiful. Everything was perfect!

Ricardo, Helena, and John looked after us from start to finish. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and the food and wine were delicious every time. The property is beautifully designed, and relaxing by the pool was lovely. Everything was perfect, and it was a wonderful start to our honeymoon. We can’t wait to come back.
