At the bottom, where there are isolated homes and orchards, you get real peace and quiet, with just the ocean waves to hear. It’s a beautiful and surprising place. The winding, steep road down is about 3 km from the main road, so allow around 3 hours for the trip down and back up.

There’s a small parking lot, and the drive down and back up is quite an adventure. The switchbacks are really steep, which adds to the experience, but take it slowly. It’s a lovely place to watch the waves, which are beautiful and varied.
