Quinta das Amendoeiras B&B

Ina and Cees made our four-night stay in the Algarve easy, with recommendations, reservations, and yummy breakfasts. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet, and the pool and peaceful surroundings were a lovely place to unwind after exploring the region. Quinta das Amendoeiras was a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend.

Ina and Cees were the nicest hosts and made us feel right at home. We spent six days at this wonderful place and enjoyed the excellent breakfast, lovely garden, and large pool. It’s a calm, quiet setting that’s perfect for relaxing.

The garden and pool were such a pleasure that we even spent a whole day just enjoying the house. Ina and Kees are great hosts, and the pool was perfect in the hot Portuguese sun. I chose this peaceful spot to rest after long days of hiking, kayaking, and swimming, and it exceeded every expectation. We were there for 10 days and couldn’t have been happier. If I come back to the Algarve, I already know where I’ll stay.

We had a wonderful two-week stay in a stunning part of the Algarve, and we’ll definitely return to Quinta das Amendoeiras. It was the best base we could have asked for to keep exploring the region. Cees and Ina are a charming, friendly, discreet couple, and their B&B is incredibly peaceful despite being conveniently located for visiting the Algarve by car. It’s 500 meters south/southeast of the N124, toward the hamlet of Nora, on the road between Silves and São Bartolomeu de Messines. We booked through Booking.com six months ahead. When we arrived, they helped unload our luggage, showed us how everything worked, offered us a drink, and shared useful local tips. The huge, beautifully planted garden has many kinds of plants and trees, and the lovely pool has a few loungers around it. Our room was near the pool, with a shaded terrace in front where we enjoyed aperitifs. There’s no air conditioning, but even with 36-degree heat outside, the insulated walls, ceiling fan, and front door with a mosquito net kept the room cool. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom spacious with a walk-in shower, and there was a small fridge for drinks. Wi-Fi worked very well in the room, and a pleasant breeze was always blowing. Everything was meticulously maintained and impeccably clean. Breakfast under the pergola was a treat every morning, and there’s a very large car park beside the rooms. We highly recommend staying here for one night, a week, or a longer holiday. We couldn’t find a better place to continue exploring this beautiful region.
