The location worked really well for us, right by the train station, but we didn’t hear noise from the trains or the neighbourhood. The centre and seafront are close by too. Our room at Casa do Poço was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, with lots of international TV channels. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed. Andreia and Rui were so kind and always there if we needed anything. A lovely extra was Petiscais, on the station grounds. Andreia and Rui welcomed us there too, and the fresh food was so good that I went back for dinner several nights. It’s the best restaurant in Olhao, and beyond! Obrigado Andreia and Rui!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the guesthouse is only a short walk from town and handy for the station. It’s a beautifully restored place, with elegant, cool decor and fantastic facilities. The building and those around it are of real architectural interest. I’d highly recommend it for either a short or long stay.

The rooftop terrace, the little balcony for the last evening sun, and even the lit well were lovely to see. Rui showed us around the house he renovated himself, and the whole place is spotless, with really impressive decor and renovations. A real gem.
