Apartment 5 had a terrace of our own and an amazing view, plus a beautiful garden. It’s quite a climb along the road from Velas center, but manageable on foot, or you can order a taxi. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The apartment fridge is a little small, though there’s a large shared one at reception. There were some humidity stains in the bathroom. Leodora was very responsive on WhatsApp whenever we had questions and was understanding about our special requests.

The view was stunning, and the beds were really comfortable. My dad and I stayed for four days, and Fernanda made us feel very welcome and did all she could to make things comfortable. The apartment was clean and beautiful. We’d happily come back anytime. Thank you so much!

I spent hours on the terrace, the view was unforgettable, with both Pico and Faial visible. The apartments are spacious and well equipped, and the staff were helpful. Velas center is quite close, but keep in mind the difference in height between Velas and the sea is about 150m. A perfect spot for a short break.

We found it very quiet, despite reviews mentioning traffic noise. The place is peaceful, easy to get to town from, and the owners were personable and incredibly responsive. We’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Sao Jorge. For seeing the whole island, I’d suggest renting a car. The owners recommended Susana, a Sao Jorge native, for a half-day tour, and she was a wonderful guide. Be sure to hike to the Fajas on the Norde Grande, they’re breathtaking and give you an authentic feel for Sao Jorge’s culture.

The garden was so peaceful, and the view over Sao Jorge was stunning. A wonderful room with all the comforts. Highly recommend!
