Casas dos Vimes

We felt at home as soon as we arrived for our week’s holiday. Communication after booking through Booking.com was excellent, and we were told what we needed to know before getting a warm welcome. The fridge already had local cheese and other things for our first breakfast, including milk, water, butter, coffee, and cheese. We were even invited to dinner after the journey, which was delicious and so convenient. Later, they suggested tours and offered whatever help we needed. It’s a very quiet spot, reached by a paved road. The houses are nicely furnished, and the kitchen has more equipment than you could need, including a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven, and plenty of other appliances. The value for money is outstanding. We were especially struck by the hospitality. Many thanks to our host. We were completely satisfied and would love to return.

The little house has everything, and it’s a great base for visiting Topo and Calheta. The wonderful café in Vimes is also within walking distance. I loved staying here at Fajã dos Vimes. Sr. António and his daughter Catarina were exceptionally kind and thoughtful, five-star hosts. I’ll carry the stay and the people with me in my heart!

We booked at the last minute in high season with two small children, and they did everything they could to welcome us comfortably. The accommodation is pleasant and tasteful, and suited what we wanted for a good holiday. Fajã dos Vimes has a special energy, and this is an ideal place to stay while exploring the island. I recommend it.

The owner welcomed us warmly, and the fridge had milk, water, cheese, and cold cuts ready for breakfast. It’s a beautiful house with very good equipment, and I highly recommend it for a great family holiday.
